A massive burnt down an abandoned KTV brothel in Myanmar.

Footage shows the inferno ripping through the disused Noble KTV bar along Theitpan Street in the Chan Mya Thar Si township of Mandalay City on June 25 at around 12:30 pm local time.

Tongues of flame were seen flickering out of the building's windows while nearby residents evacuated from their homes. Firefighters reportedly extinguished the 'Level 2' blaze before it could spread to adjacent properties.

No one was reported hurt as the establishment had been closed 'for a long time.' The source of the fire is still unclear.

KTV bars, or karaoke bars, have female hostesses that also double as prostitutes for wealthy clients. The type of attraction is favoured by tourists from China and Japan.

However, many of the venues have closed down after being dealt the double hammer blow of a military coup and the pandemic travel restrictions.
