Dog is still trusts humans
Lilly,as she is now known, was found dumped and tied to a fence in the unforgiving Mississippi heat.
Lilly was found by a Sherif. Lilly was heavily pregnant, visible rope bums on her body, broken ribs with multiple missing and broken teeth.
The shelter did not want to euthanize her but they were at capacity.
Sweet Lilly was transported from Mississippi to New Jersey.
Poor girl had given birth to puppies they were immediately taken from her after only spending days with them. Naturally they did not survive without their Mother.
This is a video of my first meeting with this sweet girl. Despite being severely abused, she leaned against me and laid on the ground showing her belly.
It was then I knew, this sweet girl would be mine. So trusting, desperate for love and affection.
I’ve only had Lilly for one week and already she has acclimated to my home. She’s learned the proper way to walk on a leash. That was a feat as she has no fear of cars and would attempt to dart in front of cars. Lilly also was not housebroken. She lived her life outside. Neglected. Only attention she received was being hit, yelled at (we know this because she will cower when people raise their voices around her).
Lilly loves every person she meets and she has a boyfriend too!
