Dozens of Kurdish protesters demonstrated opposite the Turkish Embassy in London's Belgravia (July 26) following the a bombing in the city of Zakho in the Kurdish semi-autonomous region of Iraq, killing nine people including a baby and wounding 23 others.

Turkey has denied involvement, blaming the artillery strikes on the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), leading to a strain in diplomatic relations as Iraq files a complaint to the United Nations Security Council.

Demonstrators chanted denouncing Turkish President Recep Erdoğan, burning posters bearing his image with slogans including: "Erdoğan child killer".

The crowd moved onto the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) offices, where protesters banged on the door demanding representatives come out to talk to them.
A number of demonstrators believe Kurdish Prime Minister Masrour Barzani does not act in the best interests of the Kurdish population, amassing wealth generated from oil and gas deals.
In April during a visit, Barzani's car was pelted with eggs by angry protesters in London.
