Apartment blocks collapse with controlled demolition in India
This is the moment two high-rise apartment blocks in India were demolished after a lengthy court battle.
The demolition took place in Noida city, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday afternoon August 28.
Known as the Supertech twin towers, the Supreme Court of India ordered the demolition of the structures for 'violating norms,' according to local media.
The two towers are Apex (32-storey) and Ceyane (29-storey), which housed around 915 apartments. Both towers collapsed in seconds following the controlled explosion.
