MPs Jeremy Corbyn and Fleur Anderson spoke at a Unite the Union's 'Save Our Buses' rally in Old Palace Yard (September 6) against cuts to services that will 16 routes and axe a total of 250 buses.

Cutbacks the MPs argued would disproportionately affect the poor and disabled in communities.

Transport for London's (TfL) finances were decimated during the pandemic lockdowns, leaving them in a dire situation and is forced to look at savings as it is reliant on ticket sales to generate revenue.

After listening to the speakers, protesters marched to the Department of Transport where a row of police were blocking off the front of the building and then on the Labour Party HQ, where Keir Starmer was urged to 'get behind striking workers'.
