Strange cone-shaped cloud covers the top of mountain in Vietnam
A strange cone-shaped cloud covering the top of a mountain in Dong Nai, Vietnam on Friday (November 25).
According to local people, at dawn this morning, they suddenly saw the top of the mountain covered with a strange cloud. The cloud is cone-shaped and covers the top of the mountain. Many curious people took pictures and thought that the aliens were descending to the top of the mountain.
Scientists say the cloud is called a lens cloud. The lenticular cloud has a porous, cascading cotton-like shape that looks like flying saucers from afar. According to the explanation of experts, lenticular clouds are clouds that form in the troposphere, which is the lowest layer of the layers of the atmosphere.
Also according to the explanation, because on the top of the mountain, there is usually cold air, the hot and humid air is cooled and can reach the dew point, causing water vapor to condense to form clouds. Meanwhile, the mountain acts as an obstruction that interrupts the airflow and creates vortex motion. This allows lenticular clouds to form.
Lenticular clouds often appear along high mountain ranges and in lees on mountain slopes, especially when there is a steady stream of dry or moist air over a mountain or hill.
