This is how a creative mum used a plastic cup to make an awesome 'Christmas tree' hairstyle for her adorable little daughter.

Khun Niu, 32, came up with the idea after her three-year-old toddler Marina told her she 'wanted to be taller'. The mum then saw the large drink container lying unused in her kitchen in Pathum Thani province, Thailand.

She figured out she could use it to make a Christmas tree style beehive for her daughter - who was thrilled with her fabulous hair doo and matching Santa costume.

Footage shows the mum-of-two creating the voluminous barnet by combing her girl's hair around the tall cup to shape it into an exaggerated beehive-style hairdo.

She then fastened multiple colourful hairclips that resembled the Christmas ornaments hanging on a tree.

The diligent parent said: 'My daughter told me she wanted to be taller then I saw the coffee cup and realised I could use it on her head to make a new hair style.

'I made the hair then just decorated it with Christmas things. My daughter likes it so I'm happy. It has been very popular.'

Marina said: 'I like dancing with my new hair. I want to keep it like this.'
