Thousands of Alevis from many cities of Turkey came together at the Great Alevi Convention held in Yenikapı. CHP, HDP and TIP deputies and many political party representatives attended the congress organized by Alevi and Bektashi associations.

The discriminatory policies of the state towards Alevis were also reacted to in the congress. During the event, the Semah show, which is common in Alevi and Bektashi communities and performed with musical accompaniment, was exhibited. Many artists sang Alevi folk songs called "deyiş".

Alevis say "equal citizenship", they say "secularism", they say "democracy". But you have condemned this country to the Diyanet, sects and communities.
