A wedding entourage rode a backhoe loader to cross a muddy track to church in the Philippines.

The groom and bride, together with their bridesmaids, were already wearing their formal suits for the occasion but the roads were unexpectedly packed with sludge in Davao del Sur province on December 26.

As cars could get stuck in the thick clay path, the couple borrowed the equipment which carried them to the venue.

Footage shows newlyweds with the bridesmaids in blue gowns enjoying their unusual bridal car.

One of the wedding guests Adrian Casamayor Salip said: ‘The event was extra memorable for us too because of the backhoe.

‘They seemed to enjoy their unique ride so much. There were even flowers on top of the backhoe.'
