At least 100,000 Catholics flocked to Quirino Grandstand in Manila for the Misa Mayor held at midnight of January 9, 2022 during the Feast Day of the Black Nazarene. Devotees bring along their tents and images of the Back Nazarene and they camp around Quirino Grandstand while waiting for the Holy Mass.

In the morning of the Feast of Black Nazarene, hundreds of thousands of devotees trooped Quiapo Church with their images of Black Nazarene to attend the hourly mass.

For three consecutive years now, the 'traslacion' or the procession of the life-size image of the Black Nazarene was halted due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
