A drone was shot down at Harbin Polar Park as it disturbed a backpack-wearing penguin in northern China.

Video filmed in the city of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province on January 9, shows a penguin with a backpack walking around at Harbin Polar Park to interact with tourists.

Another video shows a drone hitting another one and knocking it down near an 18-metre-high snowman.

According to reports, a drone without permission flew around the penguin and disturbed it.

A witness Ms Tang said the non-official drone flew around the penguin to disturb it. Since the park employees asked multiple times but no one claimed it, they finally operated another drone to knock it out of the air.

The backpack-clad penguins attract tourists to visit the well-known ice and snow scenic area every year.

1月9日，企鹅来到哈尔滨音乐公园与18米高的网红大雪人同框，期间遭遇了无人机干扰，工作人员多次劝阻无果，便操作无人机与另一台无人机相撞后坠落。
目击者汤女士介绍，当时看到不明无人机一直在企鹅旁边乱晃干扰企鹅，工作人员喊来喊去也无人认领，最后用他们自己的无人机将其撞下来了。
哈尔滨极地公园工作人员介绍，活动现场有非邀请的飞手进行拍摄，拍摄前未与极地公园或者音乐公园工作人员进行沟通。主办方的无人机正在进行拍摄，另外一架无人机一直挡在主机位前进行干扰，现场工作人员曾多次劝阻。此后，这架无人机与主办方的无人机发生碰撞后坠落地面。据介绍，在现场出展时，工作人员全程在周围进行保障，“没有人员受伤，企鹅当时也不在附近，没有受到影响。”
