A crazed pregnant cat attacked her owner while labouring with her kittens.

The eleven-month-old moggy named Marvel was upset when her stomach started having painful contractions before giving birth in their home in Chiang Mai province, Thailand on December 30.

However, when her owner moved her to the other room so she could give birth inside a nice, clean box, the feline had a fit of rage and pounced on her terrified owner.

CCTV footage shows the unstable Marvel scratching and biting Maylee on her arms and legs.

Maylee said: ‘She was in pain that time and about to give birth. My mistake was that I moved her somewhere else from the spot she selected to nest her babies.

‘She was just so angry and attacked me. I had deep wounds from her sharp teeth and nails on my legs.'

Marvel calmed down when she was left alone inside the room and gave birth to five kittens.

Bizarrely, the cat returned to its normal gentle self when her offspring were finally delivered.

Maylee said: ‘I don't hate my cat because of what happened. The wounds were painful, but I believe my cat still loved me.'
