Israeli security forces clashed with residents while demolishing two homes under construction in the Al-Baqaa area, east of Hebron, in the West Bank, on Wednesday, January 11.

The first three-story building knocked down was under construction and in its final stage with the Palestinian Jaber family preparing to move in. Officials then demolished a house that the Jaber family had rebuilt after it was demolished in July of last year.

Al-Baqaa and Al-Maqam districts in the disputed region are being targeted by Israeli security forces by destroying structures and wells.

Locals say that Al-Baqa is the area's "food basket" because of its fertile land and diversity of crops.
