The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) put on a colourful air show for youngsters for National Children's Day in Thailand.

Excited children were treated to the spectacle at the Flying Training School in Nakhon Pathom province on Saturday January 14.

The event, kicked off by Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Alongkorn Vannarot, was organised 'to create inspiration for the youth' and to show them a glimpse of the RTAF's activities.

Footage shows a fleet of F-16 and AU-23 planes flying overhead and spewing out red, white, and blue smoke that represented the colours of the Thai flag.

Visitors sat under the shade as they watched the aircraft depict how the RTAF conducted missions.

Exhibits and games were set up at the venue to showcase the air force's military equipment.
