A village called jorong masang, tiku sub-district, religious district, West Sumatra, Indonesia, was once inhabited by more than 800 people. This village was deliberately abandoned leaving debris from the beach abrasion that occurred 10 years ago. we still find remnants of buildings such as the original shape of the house, wells that still exist, foundations of houses and remnants of coconut trees that were deliberately cut down for other uses. Currently, the 800 people have moved to create a new settlement which is about 2 kilometers from this beach. but day by day, the condition of beach abrasion is getting more and more worrisome. because the waters are protruding inland every year.
