BMW crashes into sea after driver accidentally reverses off pier in China
A BMW plummeted into the sea after the driver accidentally reversed off a pier in southern China.
Video filmed in the city of Sanya in Hainan Province on March 5 shows a BMW suddenly moving backwards and falling into the sea.
The motorist was seen pushing the door open and swimming out of the car before it sank.
According to a witness, the parked BMW suddenly reversed and hung over the edge of the pier.
Nearby people attempted to stop the car from falling back and the motorist also pressed the accelerator to try to move forward onto the pier but failed.
Fortunately, the motorist escaped from the sinking car in 30 seconds.
