This is the shocking moment a BMW driver forgets to remove the fuel hose, which snaps back and sprays another motorist in the face in Russia.

Dashcam footage shows the reckless driver distracted by his phone as he climbs into his car before pulling away from a petrol station pump in Krasnodar on July 21.

But as the vehicle moves off, the fuel hose - still inserted into the tank - stretches and lashes back, flying out of the filler hole and spraying the motorist at the next pump, apparently hitting him in the face.

As the victim rubs his eyes and face, the BMW driver reverses back to the pump, gets out, and approaches the man, seemingly to check if he is okay before picking up the nozzle to put it away.
