This is what riding a train through a 20-storey residential building looks like.

Video filmed in Chongqing City on March 22 shows a train running through a residential building at Liuziba station on Chongqing Rail Transit Line 2.

Built in March 2004, Liuziba station is the first cross-seated single-track elevated station in China that shares a building with commercial and residential spaces.

With a total area of 6,000 square metres and occupying 3,100 square metres of land, the station is situated on the 5th to 6th floor of a commercial and residential building at No. 39 Liuziba Zhengjie, along the banks of the Jialing River.

The single-track train employs low-noise, low-vibration technology with inflatable rubber tires and air-spring support, which minimises the noise and vibration caused by train movement.

重庆轨道交通2号线李子坝车站是国内第一座与商住楼共建共存的跨座式单轨高架车站，于2004年3月建成，占地面积3100平方米，建筑面积6000平方米。该站位于嘉陵江畔的李子坝正街39号商住楼6-7层，因其“空中列车穿楼而过”成为蜚声中外的“网红车站”。
车站与商住楼同步设计、同步建设、同步投用，采用“站桥分离”的结构形式，轨道车站桥梁与商住楼结构支撑体系分开设置，有效解决两者结构传力及振动问题。同时，单轨列车采用低噪音、低振动的充气橡胶轮胎和空气弹簧支撑车体，最大限度减小了列车行驶带来的振动和噪音影响。
