A group of locals in Penza, Russia, hopped into the bucket of a tractor to cross a flooded road.

Hundreds of metres of a road became submerged after a nearby river burst its banks due to heavy rainfall.

To cross the road, a group of locals enlisted the help of a tractor driver.

Stepping into the vehicle's bucket, they were able to be carried across the flooded road.

Spring flooding can often cause unexpected problems for communities, and the residents of one village in the Penza region of Russia recently found themselves facing an unusual challenge. Due to the high waters caused by the local river's spill, a hundred meters of the road became submerged and turned into a turbulent stream. This made it difficult for locals to get across, but they came up with an ingenious solution - crossing the stream in the bucket of a wheeled tractor.

Eyewitnesses admit that the method of crossing the stream looks rather scary, but people simply have no other option to get home. Several people get into the bucket, it rises, and the tractor starts moving across the stream. The tractor driver must navigate the swirling waters and ensure that everyone reaches the other side safely.

Although it might seem dangerous, judging by the frames of the published video, the tractor driver coped with the difficult task quite well. The "passengers" were delivered safe and sound to the other "shore". This shows the resilience and resourcefulness of people in the face of unexpected challenges.
