The Caravan and Motorhome Club English Nationals Open Shortboard competition is one of the biggest surfing contests in the United Kingdom, and the two-day event took place in front of a large crowd in Fistral Beach in Cornwall from April 15 to 16.

No. 54 ranked Luke Dillon, age 28, was awarded the main title.

The event is organized under the auspices of Surfing England, the official body of English surfing.

Good waves and good conditions endured for the two day event. 28 year old Luke Dillon took the main title. Luke is ranked #54 on the Global ranking of pro surfers and hails from Newquay. In second place is equally promising up and coming Perranporth surfer, 15 year old Lukas Skinner, who is fresh back from an unprecedented victory for an English surfer in the Australian World Grom surf contest an event which has a track record of launching world beating professional surf careers. Gabriel Medina and Stephanie Gilmore are just two globally known pro surfers who also finished first this in previous contests. Lukas is the son of Eleven times European longboard champion Ben Skinner. Arron strong came in third place and Seth morris in fourth place.
