Revellers captured the moment a shooting that injured four erupted inside a nightclub in Thailand.

Footage shows party-goers enjoying a Songkran festival party in the Onyx bar along the popular nightlife district Royal City Avenue in Bangkok before a barrage of gunshots rang out past midnight on April 17.

Police said four people were injured and were rushed to different hospitals. They were identified as Obniti, 26, Jiraporn, 26, Natthanon, 25, Thitipol, 28, who were all among the crowds on the dance floor.

Witnesses told officers that the gunman had been arguing with another man near the entrance to the venue. The suspect then allegedly produced a firearm and shot around 10 bullets into the ground, wounding several party-goers.

Officers said they found at least 10 bullet casings at the scene. They have also detained two suspects: Natthanon, 41, and Natthaphon, 19, who were both charged for violating Thailand's Firearms Act.

Police Major General Attaporn Wongsiripreeda, commmander of the country's Metropolitan Police Division 1, said: 'We have been trying to interview the suspects, but they were still drunk and could not be understood. The suspects were both carrying firearms and chasing each other in front of the bar before the shooting.

'We are unsure if they both know each other, or if they came to the venue together. We will have to check the CCTV footage.'

He added that one of the arrested, Natthanon, allegedly had a history of drug trafficking in the Din Daeng area of Bangkok, while Natthaphon had previously been accused of theft in Chonburi province.

Police said that investigations are ongoing into the shooting.
