Taxi driver captures 'shocking' moment cyclist almost knocks pedestrian over after failing to stop at zebra crossing
A taxi driver captured the "shocking" moment a cyclist almost knocked over a pedestrian after failing to stop at a zebra crossing in central London.
Recorded on May 12, the footage shows the taxi driver slowing down to let a group of pedestrians, including a small girl, cross the road. However, the cyclist fails to come to a stop and almost collides with a woman.
The lady who was almost hit is seen angrily gesturing towards the cyclist who continues their ride.
Newsflare user DsantosTaxi, who captured the video, said: "A cyclist failed to stop for pedestrians at a zebra crossing. Then continue to ride along after colliding with one lady like nothing happened."
The Highway Code states: "Drivers and riders should give way to pedestrians waiting to cross and MUST give way to pedestrians on a zebra crossing."
