Lynx 'with no fear' keeps coming back to visit woman's porch
A lynx ‘with no fear’ keeps visiting a woman leaving people to joke she should ‘adopt it’.
When Buffy Worboys opened her back door in Atikokan, Canada, on March 19 she was surprised to find a wild cat patiently sat in the snow.
Adorable footage that has been viewed more than 25million times shows the lynx sat perched serenely on the deck as Buffy’s dogs inside bark away.
Undisturbed by the pets, the lynx even lay down in the snow as Buffy calmly chatted with it before eventually padding off into the nearby woods.
Buffy said: “The lynx has visited me a bunch of times and visited neighbours as well. We have bird feeders up during the winter, which attract squirrels, so it is easy prey for it.
“We started seeing it around the beginning of the winter. I have seen several lynx in the area before, but it is usually just in passing while driving or one will run across a path that I’m walking.
“It is very fluffy, so hard to tell how much it weighs. My approximation is 15lbs.
“I did not feed it anything. It is happily hunting and eating on its own. I believe it’s a young lynx that is spending its first winter alone and it’s just figuring out what it needs to do.”
Commenters on Buffy’s video were quick to joke how they would have ‘adopted’ the lynx.
One commenter joked: “Welllllll….I would’ve took him inside…”
Another wrote: “It's giving, "I wanna be a part of this family, so are you adopting me or what??" vibes.”
One person commented: “Would have fed, pet, and tried to bring into my house.”
