Bystander saves elderly man and child from escalator mishap
On May 15 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, a heartwarming incident unfolded as a video captured the heroic act of a kind-hearted passerby when an elderly grandfather taking a stroll with his young grandson in a shopping mall encountered a perplexing situation.
Confused by the escalator moving in the opposite direction, the elderly man continued descending, oblivious to the potential danger.
Fortunately, a bystander quickly intervened, stopping the elderly man and the child, and informing them that they should not use the escalator in the opposite direction.
