A hapless pet cat stuck on top of a coconut tree refused to be rescued before jumping down.
The feline named Som was playing outside when it somehow climbed up the 15ft-tall tree in their neighbour's yard Bangkok, Thailand on April 16.
But as the creature could not safely descend upon reaching the fruit, Som's owner had to intervene.
Footage shows scared Som among the coconut. A long pole was reached up to the cat where there was a basket, but the creature refused to climb inside.
The neighbour said: ‘We all helped thinking of a way to carry the cat down. In the end, the cat saved itself and jumped down.'
The cat was unhurt and returned to its owners after the amusing incident.
