A couple has gone viral on social media after revealing the moment they re-created their parent's wedding pictures - while celebrating their own big day.

Rosie, 29, and Justin Joyce, 30, were all set to get married in December 2022 when they came up with the idea of recreating Rosie’s parent's wedding photographs.

The couple wanted to capture the moment forever, filming them in each other's outfits and leaving social media users in stitches.

Rosie decided to share the hilarious clip on TikTok, receiving more than 10.5 million views and 2.5 million likes.

“We decided on our wedding day, that the day after, we would recreate the pictures my parents once did,” Rosie, a nurse, told NeedToKnow.co.uk.

“I had the idea because I had seen the photos of my parents growing up, I knew I wanted to do it one day.

“It wasn't really a planned thing for the day it just sort of happened, we were looking at my dress and I thought, oh my god we have to do this!

“So the next day, we got dressed and walked out to our guests!

“Justin's suit was so comfortable I ended up wearing it for the rest of the day.

“I was so worried about my dress on Justin so he only wore it for half an hour or so!

“We had fun with it, and our guests absolutely loved it.”

Home loan lender, Justin, and Rosie decided to share a clip of the funny experience on her TikTok account (@rosiejoyce_), captioning the video: “My parents swapped outfits at their wedding recovery day.”

A wedding recovery day is often the day after the wedding, when the couple, family, and friends carry on the celebrations in a more relaxed manner and setting.

In the clip, the couple, from Western Australia, reveal the pics of Rosie’s parent’s wedding day first.

Her mother can be seen in her father’s suit and her dad in her mum’s dress and veil, as they pose in a couple of pictures.

Then, they stitch in a clip of Rosie walking out in Justin's suit, as he walks behind her, in her beautiful strapless wedding dress.

The couple re-created the original photos, in black and white and smiling, while friends laugh and cheer in the background.

Thousands of amused viewers rushed to comment their opinions.

One person commented: “This is such a cool tradition to carry on!! absolutely love this.” [sic]

Tid said: “I’m sure your husband looked great in the tux but I have a sneaking suspicion you wore it better than him!'

Eden added: “This is sosososo cute. My partner is a lot smaller than me LOL his clothes would NOT fit me.” [sic]

Alyssa wrote: “The fact that your new hubby loved the idea shows you found the one.”

“I love this so much,” said Chloe.

“I KNOW they have a FUN marriage,” commented someone else. [sic]

“We had an impromptu recovery day and it was the best,” said Amanda.

“You and your mom are twins,” commented Jennifer.

“This is the cutest thing i ever did see,” added Taylor.

The couple tied the knot at Tiller Farm, Yallingup, Western Australia, and the big day was everything they could have ever dreamt of.

Rosie added: “It was relaxed, intimate and had so much love and fun amongst it.

“We are relaxed people so we didn’t want anything too over the top, we wanted a modern, summery, non-traditional day with good food and music.

“My parents and family all loved the entire weekend, they really made the most of it.

“The next day when we swapped outfits, they didn’t say too much, they just had this really nice, proud look on their faces.

“Everyone was clapping and taking photos of us, because I don’t think anyone else had ever seen It before and no one knew that my parents had done it at theirs.”
