A distracted tourist banged her head on hanging sharp rock formations while walking on the beach.

Teenager Hannah Jane Gascar was with her family on the beautiful island while holding hands with a toddler in Surigao del Sur province, the Philippines on June 10.

But as she ensured the little boy didn't trip on the sand, she failed to notice the large rock blocking the way and banged her forehead.

Footage shows the clumsy teen confused after feeling the sharp pain in her head. She let go of the boy while her friend behind her laughed at the mishap.

Her friend Dea Marienila Cubero said: ‘The cap saved her. The sharp rock didn't scrape into her skin because of the head gear. We told her to be more careful when exploring nature.'

The youngster was not seriously hurt and went on with the family trip after the rock fail.
