STORYLINE:
The construction of the main structure of five super-sized liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks was completed on Monday in Zhuhai City of south China's Guangdong Province.
The five tanks are the second-phase project for a natural gas storage and transportation base named Jinwan "Green Energy Port."

"The project adopts the world's largest LNG storage tank designs with core technologies developed by the China National Offshore Oil Corporation. Each tank can store 270,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas, and stands 65.7 meters tall."
The "Green Energy Port" project will become the largest natural gas storage and transportation base in south China after the second phase is put into operation in 2024.
Its annual processing capacity is expected to reach seven million tonnes, equivalent to about 10 billion cubic meters of gaseous natural gas.
