A waterfall-like leak stunned shoppers inside a supermarket.

Footage shows heavy rainwater gushing from the ceiling near the entrance of a store in Pampanga province, the Philippines on April 30.

Some customers seating at a cafe nearby could only watch as the deluge flowed down.

One of the shoppers Jene Suson said the store was new and there were many people that day for the opening.

She said: ‘It was scary. We don't know if it was safe to still be inside. The thunder was loud and the rain poured hard.'

No one was reported hurt in the incident while the area had been closed off during the incident.
