Heavy plastic pollution on a beach on a deserted island in Panama with waves crashing into the plastic trash moving it around in the ocean
The video was filmed on one of the Las Perlas Islands of Panama. It shows a devestating amount of plastic trash along the shoreline of a deserted beach. Many different plastic trash items with different colors and shapes are accumulated along the beach and the waves of the Pacific Ocean keep crashing into the trash. The trash gets moved forwards and backwards and it shows how plastic pollution is a massive threat and that if not collected or prevented to enter our oceans, it will just keep moving around in the ocean and break down into microplastic eventually causing harm to our environment.
The video displays a shocking image of how devestating and drastic the level of plastic pollution in our oceans are. It helps to create awareness why it is so important to fight plastic pollution and to reduce our daily use of plastic items, especially singe use plastic. It also shows how vital a proper trash management infrastructure is. The video was filmed in an area with no trash management infrastructure so it shows what happens if no one picks up the trash and there are no facilities to dispose of plastic waste.
