A new band of Starlink satellites were spectacularly launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida at the crack of dawn at 04:01 UTC, just a minute past the midnight hour. The so-called G6-7 group took to the stars, sweeping across the planet in an astounding 1.5 hours, bringing internet connectivity closer to reality for many across the globe.

As the day advanced, at precisely 10:38 pm Central European Summer Time (CEST), the high-tech satellites swooped majestically over the Iberian landscapes of Portugal and Spain.

The satellites were a sight to behold, low over the southwestern horizon, darting towards the stunning constellation of Antares and the magnificent moon, only to vanish mysteriously as they sailed into the Earth's umbra and were shrouded by the sun's luminescence.

These were not just any satellites but the newest generation, the v2.0 Mini version, of the Starlink communication satellites. The 22 of them form part of Elon Musk's ambitious project to internalise the cosmos.

The breathtaking event was captured right from the doorstep of the picturesque Derborence Valley in Valais canton, Switzerland, with the camera lens pointed towards the southern sky. The technological marvels employed for this astounding spectacle were a Sony a7s2 coupled with a Mitakon 35mm f/0.95 II lens and a Canon EOS R8 boasting a RF800/11 telelens for a close-up on the moon and Antares.
