After 71 hours of emergency repair work, the Fengtai-Shacheng Railway in north China resumed operation on Tuesday.
The railway line connects Fengtai District of Beijing and Shacheng Township of Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province.
The line's service had been suspended due to damage caused by rain-triggered floods.
More than 5,500 construction workers were dispatched to do the repair work.
Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Beijing.
