Adorable kitten sleeps on top of guitar while owner plays Coldplay cover
An adorable kitten slept soundly on top of a guitar while its owner played a Coldplay cover.
Singer/songwriter Roe Byrne was practicing the band’s song ‘Sparks’ at home in Dublin when eight-week-old cat Einstein clambered on top of the instrument.
Beautiful footage which has been viewed more than 4.6million times shows the kitten curled up perfectly in the guitar’s curves.
Despite the 19-year-old’s smooth voice and the musical vibrations keeping Einstein asleep, he finally woke up towards the end of the song and stretched in Roe’s face.
Roe said: “When it first happened, Einstein crawled up my back and over my shoulder to lay down, I called my sister in to my room to see it and we nearly melted with the cuteness.
“Every time he did it after that, I felt more and more of a connection to him each time.
“He would stay there until he got too hot in the sun or woke up, sometimes it was two hours at a time and sometimes just long enough for me through one song.
“My rule was I couldn’t stop playing until he got fed up.
“Some people have said they think he liked lying on the guitar because the vibrations reminded him of his mom’s purring, which breaks my heart with cuteness.
“It could also be that he just wanted to be close to someone and my hands weren’t free so he improvised.
"The music I write and want to continue writing has a sort of soft feel to it, similar to that video but I always try make it fun too.”
