The ancient Hindu stone monuments inside the Angkor Archaeological Park were used in the Tomb Raider movies but some have since been overrun with wild primates.
Angkor was the site of the ancient Khmer Empire which ruled large swathes of Southeast Asia and much of neighbouring Thailand before the kingdom moved its powerbase further south to capitalise on maritime links in the 15th century.
