A tornado suddenly struck Suqian City in eastern China's Jiangsu Province on September 19, tearing apart numerous houses, flipping vehicles on the streets and causing significant damage to electricity infrastructure.

Reports from the ground suggest a horrifying scene, with five people confirmed dead and another four injured due to the tornado's ferocity. Of the injured, all have been rushed to medical facilities and are thankfully not in life-threatening conditions.

Adding to the devastation, an alarming total of 52 homes have experienced varying levels of damage. As the township grapples with this sudden catastrophe, emergency services and volunteers are working tirelessly to restore order and assist those affected.

Authorities are currently in the process of cleaning up the damaged neighbourhoods, and further investigations are underway to ascertain the full extent of the disaster.
