SOUNDBITE (English): THOMAS BACH, International Olympic Committee President
"This Asian Games will set records and will establish standards in many different ways. First of all, it will be the biggest ever with more than 12,000 athletes. That means that with regard to the participation of athletes, it's bigger than the Olympic Games, even. Secondly, we'll also set new standards with regard to the sustainable organization of such great games, with regard to carbon emission, with regard to zero-waste policies, and many other efforts. And then it will also benefit, I think, from the enthusiasm of the sports-loving Chinese people. So the athletes, I think can be very, very happy to enjoy China as such a great host for a big sports event in such a short period of time."
