STORYLINE:

The Chinese embassy in Mongolia hosted a reception on Wednesday to mark the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC), which falls on Oct. 1.

Nearly 300 people, including representatives of the Mongolian government, political parties, military, media, and social groups as well as staff of foreign embassies and consulates and Chinese-funded institutions in Mongolia attended the reception.

"China and Mongolia are both developing countries in Asia. We share Asian values, have a strong desire to let our people live a better life, and are diligently exploring the road of modernization in line with our national conditions and characteristics. China attaches great importance to China-Mongolia relations and actively practices the principle of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, and the peripheral diplomatic policy of befriending neighbors and treating them as partners in Mongolia. Mongolia also regards developing relations with China as the primary direction of its foreign policy. China and Mongolia belong to a community with a shared future that shares weal and woe."
