A sneaky rat brilliantly outsmarted a sticky trap in southern China.

CCTV footage filmed in the city of Dongguan in Guangdong Province on October 14, shows a rat taking a daring leap, soaring over the sticky trap and landing safely on the other side.

As if to add insult to injury, upon its return, this cheeky critter audaciously moved the sticky trap out of its path, ensuring a smooth entry back home.

According to reports, the recent rodent disturbances led the resident to lay a trap for the mischievous rat. In a calculated move, he left his door ajar and strategically placed a sticky rat trap just outside.

However, in the early hours at around 2:00 am, the rat cautiously peered out, avoiding the trap.
