A street cleaner carried her cat to work for companionship in central China.

Heartwarming video filmed in the city of Enshi in Hubei Province on October 16 shows a sanitation worker carrying a feline companion in a bamboo basket at her back while cleaning the streets.

Mrs Wang, the onlooker who captured the heartwarming moment, remarked that the sanitation worker appeared to be in her late 40s to early 50s. With her children working in other cities, the woman is only left with her pet cat at home to keep her company.

Concerned about her cat feeling lonely during her work hours, she decided to bring it along for her daily duties. To ensure its safety, she carefully tied a leash around the basket to prevent the cat from jumping out and encountering any dangers.

Despite the cat weighing over 10 kilograms, the grandma didn't seem to find it burdensome at all.

"Witnessing this tender bond between the two was truly heartwarming and uplifting," shared Wang.
