A kind neighbour removed a large python from inside a female driver's car engine using a wooden pole.

Footage shows the good Samaritan named Ton fishing the 10ft-long serpent out of the white sedan as it coiled around the stick before placing it on the street concrete in Bangkok, Thailand on April 29.

Driver Pattern said: ‘Someone told me there was a snake near my car and then we saw it enter the engine. I called Ton and he helped me.'

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
