On October 31, 2023, in Changchun, Jilin, a video captured trees along the roadside that appeared to be flattened as if pressed down.
The filmer made a reasonable guess that the tree grew in such a peculiar manner due to a wall on one side and a pile of firewood on the other. The spectacle was created when the obstacles on both sides were removed.
Chinese netizens humorously commented, "Self-imposed flattening management by nature."
