This is Ambleside Village in Cumbria, U.K. during the recent unprecedented snowfall.
Ambleside recieved almost 20cm of snow in a few hours, mainly 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm. This was unprecedented. No one can remember snow like this in over 60 years of local memory. The traffic was at a standfill and the drivers and passengers I spoke to were anxious and worried. Hundreds of local tourists became stranded in the local vicinity of Ambleside and Windermere and the South Lakes area. The local community helped tremendously by providing accomodation and help.
