IDF Exposes Hamas Tunnel Nexus in School Ambush at Shuja'iyya

In a daring operation within the heart of Shuja'iyya, the 188th Brigade, supported by the Counter-Terrorism Unit (Lotar) and the 74th Battalion, confronted a Hamas cell ensconced in a school compound. Hamas attempted a deadly ambush but were swiftly neutralized by the vigilant forces.
During the subsequent search, soldiers uncovered a tunnel shaft concealed within a classroom, leading to a nearby mosque. This discovery exposes yet another instance of Hamas exploiting schools, intended as sanctuaries for children, for Hamas hideouts.
A unique addition to the operation is the Counter Terrorism Unit (Lotar) special squad within the 188th Brigade. Comprising experts in breaching, demolitions, and snipers, this squad plays a pivotal role in navigating the challenging urban terrain of the Gaza Strip.
