Farmers build unique Christmas tree with piles of straw
Farmers built a unique Christmas tree using piles of straw.
The gardeners at the Walai Farm used a bamboo pole as a base which they covered in dried stalks in the shape of a cone to mimic a tree in Phayao province, Thailand on December 16.
Timelapse footage shows the locals carefully adding more straws and safely covering it with a net to prevent it from eroding.
The simple tree was draped around with bright rolls of red and green tinsel while Christmas lights were added to make it pop at night.
Resident Walailuk said: ‘This is our own version of a tree which is truly close to our hearts.'
