A father turned two empty Coke bottles into a Christmas lantern decorations.

Footage shows Jun Nino demonstrating the easy lantern tutorial at his home in General Santos City, the Philippines.

He cuts two one-litre bottles and their bodies into strips. He then solders the thin cuts together to form a star.

He cuts and shapes the heads of the bottles into flower-shaped decor and attaches them to the centre of the star-shaped ornament.

After cutting and soldering the bottles together, he spray-paints the lantern with white and red in his backyard.

He then displayed the beautiful do-it-yourself recycled lantern outside his house for neighbours and his family to admire during the festive season.
