In the village of Dyudkovo, Rybinsk district, Russia, a hit-and-run incident occurred on December 8, involving an 85-year-old woman and a driver with 20 years of experience. Video surveillance footage revealed that the driver, reversing out of a parking space, unintentionally hit the elderly pedestrian, who was subsequently taken to the hospital. After two weeks of evading authorities, the driver voluntarily approached the police, asserting that he was unaware of the collision. Currently facing administrative liability under Article 12.24 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for violating traffic rules and causing moderate harm, the driver may face more severe charges if the elderly woman's injuries prove to be more serious.
