Tragic collision: dozens injured as brakes fail on Kemerovo tram
On June 6, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Kemerovo, Russia, when two trams of Route No. 10 collided on Kuznetsky Bridge. Initial investigations suggested that one tram lost control due to brake failure, hurtling downhill. Eyewitness footage captured the harrowing moment when a door flung open, ejecting a passenger from the carriage. At the time of reporting, the toll stood at 67 casualties. Among them, three individuals were in critical condition, with two receiving intensive care and one undergoing emergency surgery. Ten others had been discharged after receiving initial medical treatment.
