This bizarre video shows a truck crashing into a ditch after veering down the street backwards when its reckless driver forgot to pull the handbrake while parking.

Surveillance footage captured the man getting out of the vehicle which he left on an elevated road in the city of Chaozhou in Guangdong, China, on January 26.

Then as the man walked towards the building without looking back, the truck unexpectedly rolled backwards because the man reportedly forgot to pull the handbrake.

It then crashed into a nearby ditch next to the building, prompting petrified stray dogs to run away for their lives.

Chinese media reported that when the man thought his vehicle had been stolen after he returned to the spot and saw it was not there.
