A restaurant is serving duck-shaped ice cream for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations in Thailand.

The limited-edition dessert, which resembles the mouthwatering pot-stewed duck often served as offerings during the Lunar New Year, is available at the Swensen's shop in Bangkok for only one week.

The sweet treat is made with a duck-shaped white chocolate shell, which is then filled with Swensen's signature ice cream and coated with a beautiful glossy caramel pecan glaze.

The dish also comes with an auspicious message to invite good fortune for customers.

Swensen's duck ice cream costs 499 THB (14 USD) and will be available from February 5 to 12 only.

Chinese New Year falls on Saturday, February 10. The celebrations culminate with the Lantern Festival on February 24.

The event is celebrated widely across Thailand, where immigrants from China developed the country when the mighty Khmer Empire moved further south in the 15th century.
