As the large-scale rain and snow weather in southern China gradually comes to an end, the rising temperatures have caused ice pillars hanging on the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge to fall and damage multiple vehicles.

To further prevent the risk of falling ice shells injuring people or vehicles, the Chengyun Group has temporarily closed the Erqi Yangtze River Bridge for de-icing operations.

Although the rain and snow in most parts of the southern region have entered the final stage, the temperatures remain relatively low. As the daytime temperatures rise, the frozen snow and ice begin to melt, dripping from the eaves.

However, as the sun sets, temperatures in these areas will drop to around 0 degrees Celsius or even lower, causing the melted snow to refreeze. This process easily forms transparent ice pillars, commonly known as "ice stalactites" in northeastern China.

The video was filmed on February 7 and provided with permission from local media.
